How to get there
The nearest highway offramp is 9 kilometers from this glamping. From both Caldas da Rainha and Santarém, you can take the A15 highway that will take you there. Once you're off the highway, it's only 12 minutes until you'll reach the quinta.
About the area
Located in the Costa de Prata, the sea coast is very close. You'll be there in 20 minutes, and you have a lot of different (type of) beaches. Same as Caldas da Rainha, where there are also multiple nice restaurants.
Within an hour drive, you'll find the city of Leiria. The Batalha monastery can be found here, which is one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal and a very famous monument. The city of Leiria is also within less than an hour reach from the quinta. Also visit the castle of Leiria from the 12th century. And there are more monuments to visit here, enough to fill your day with activity.
Another city where you can fill a day with activity is of course Lisboa. A day wouldn't even be enough to visit the countless sightseeing spots. Museums, parks, churches and viewing spots, from where you can see the entire city. In Lisboa, there's also one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal: the Belém tower, a famous fortress from the 16th century with a prominent position in Portuguese history.
As you can see, enough to do. Ask the owners if you want to know more!

Loes
We are Loes and Jeroen , Dutch owners of small scale Holiday Park Quinta Laranja in Portugal. Ever since we bought our former winery in Portugal we still enjoy this wonderful spot! The first ten years after our emigration, we lived at the terrain of Quinta Laranja itself, in the holiday home that´s now called Casa da Varanda. Together with our daughters Leila Blue (2006), Goa (Portugal, 2009) and of course our cat Nina and our sheep, we had a great time there. But small girls grow up so fast! In Portugal, children already go to a sort of high school at the age of ten. That school wasn´t around the corner and neither were swimming lessons and gymnastics. Therefore in 2016 we moved to a nice green neighbourhood of the town of Caldas da Rainha, close to the park. Just a 15 minute drive from Quinta Laranja and never a traffic jam!
