The Canvas Frills Lodge at Glanmor Isaf Farm is one of the tents on this working farm that is located in North Wales. The farm has amazing vies of Snowdonia and the Carneddau Mountains where cattle and sheep graze. The tents are a five minutes' walk from the nearby seaside and a private pebble beach so guests can will have the best of both worlds; a countryside and a seaside holiday at the same location.
The farm has been certified organic for the last 12 years and is easily accessible; it is only two hours from Manchester. It is a traditional Welsh family farm with beautiful peaceful, countryside and any stay includes a tour of this working farm.
The farm is home to a diverse array of animals for guests to meet including Welsh black cattle, pigs, chickens and mountain sheep. Guests will learn a lot about lambing and can feed them from spring until the end of June. The nearby beach is a nature reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Guests are allowed to collect cockles and mussels for cooking on the campfire.
The farm has a mud kitchen with wooden spoons, saucepans, and children's games. The tents are situated next to an old orchard among apple and pear trees. This is next to a side field where the stock is located and the tents are very much sheltered.
Glamping description
The Canvas Frills Lodge has a double bed, a bunk bed, and a single bed, sleeping a maximum of six guests. There is an en-suite bathroom with shower and basin, a flushing toilet, deck chairs, an outdoor cooker, an extended canopy for a covered veranda, and cold running water. The lodge comes with a starter pack made up of wood for heating and cooking, starter pack candles, and lamp oil. Kitchen linen is provided and there is ample parking space.
The farm is 20 minutes from the Betws-y-Coed outdoor pursuit's centre and birdwatching at Llanfairfechan. There are also water sports at the Plat Menai Centre on the Menai Straits. With Snowdonia nearby there are many opportunities for hiking and mountain biking. Surf Snowdonia has indoor surfing nearby.
Also amazing is the Bounce Below indoor cave trampoline experience at Gwynedd, 50 mins away. For younger guests, Green Wood Forest Park and Anglesey Sea Zoo are ideal.
