Glamping description

Our 3 fully equipped spacious luxury safari tents are suitable for a maximum of 4 to 5 people. They are at least 20 meters apart therefore, you will have a lot of peace and privacy.

On our property is a “hangout” with hammocks where you can relax. Around our reception with lounge terrace free WiFi is available and a BBQ. Children can play all over our terrain and in the nearby forest. They can use a ping pong table, badminton rackets, jeu de boules, beach ball and of course swim in the swimming pool. A small inflatable pool is available for the small children. Children love to go beach combing or catch crabs here. Many fishing gear is washed up, such as buoys, boots and floats.

Every morning, the baker comes along with freshly baked bread. Sitting on the veranda of the tent you have a view on the eucalyptus forest and an old windmill. You can regularly hear the ocean in the background, as Land of Angels – Glamping at sea is situated 200 meters from the beautiful rocky coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Around our glamping are several beautiful hiking and cycling trails through the dunes and the woods.

In every tent are family games available and children can play in the forest and swim in the pool. There are also 2 child-friendly beaches in the area.

Dogs are allowed if they are on a leash and do not cause any inconvenience.

How to get there

A car is desirable as it is very hilly and public transport in Portugal does not often pass our glamping.

It is about a 1 hour drive (90 km) with the toll road from Lisbon to us.

The navigation systems around the airport doesn’t work. When you drive away from the airport, you see a very large roundabout with many exits. At that roundabout you have to take the last exit to A1 Norte. Then follow A8 Oeste (= west). Then you drive about 70 km north on the A8 and at the city of Caldas da Rainha you take exit 19 zona industrial and turn left and drive about 6 km at each roundabout straight ahead forward to Foz do Arelho until you can no longer go, because before you is the Atlantic Ocean. At the last roundabout you turn right onto the Estrada Atlantica towards Salir do Porto. Boavista is about 6 km away.

About the area

Our glamping is located in a forest near the ocean, at the Silver Coast of Portugal, a hour’s drive from Lisbon and near Nazaré. There you will find a fascinating region that has not yet been disturbed by mass tourism.

There is so much to do in the area of . A week vacation is too short to see everything.

Glamping owner

We are Nanja and Marjolein . In 2012 the idea arose to start a campsite in Portugal. We drove to Portugal on the motorbike and looked in various regions for the best way to start a campsite. Our choice fell on the area around Caldas da Rainha. The climate is very nice and there is a lot to see and do in the area. The people are very friendly and helpful. The silver coast is not yet discovered by mass tourism and the environment is beautiful green and fertile. In 2013 and 2014 we looked at many pieces of land and finally we chose a piece of land 2.5 kilometers south of Salir do Porto. In april 2017 we quitted our jobs at the police and emigrated to Portugal. On our glamping at sea you will find all the peace, space and nature to relax and unwind. Do you want to look up the hustle and bustle then that’s only 5 minutes away by car and there you will find everything.

    Very nice glamping!

This is a very nice glamping. The tents are well furnished, with enough space and neat furniture. The beds are also good. The glamping is centrally located between all kinds of nice towns and beautiful hiking trails. The owners are very friendly and caring. They also have many tips about what to do in the area. We were there with our son of one and a half, that went great. This glamping is highly recommended!

    Very beautiful place to unwind

A very beautiful place to unwind. Very clean luxurious spacious tents. Friendly and dedicated owners who run this small glamping with enthusiasm. There is a lot to do in the area, in short: a great place for a perfect holiday feeling.

    Great trips:
Cycling with an e-bike, which you can rent there. A great way to explore the surrounding area, such as the flamingos in the nature reserve.
