The lodge comes with a starter pack made up of wood for heating and cooking, starter pack candles, and lamp oil. Kitchen linen is provided and there is ample parking space.
The farm has an onsite larder and this is stocked with fresh food and local sausage and bacon. Private chicken coops are also bookable on request for fresh eggs. A 40-metre zip wire has been set up for children to try out.
The local village, Cheswardine, has a great pub, the Fox and Hounds. It serves ales from Market Drayton's Joules Brewery and serves good pub food. Another pub, the Red Lion, serves beers from the Lion's Trail Brewery and guests can sample their Lion Bru. The village is only a 40-minute walk across fields and meadows or just three miles in the car.
