Glamping summary
The Canvas Lodge tent at La Ferme du Moncel is one of the tents found on a farm found within 600 acres of forests such as the Cascadec and Coatloch in Lower Normandy. The family are passionate about living in harmony with nature and respecting the countryside and this is seen in the idyllic farmyard with stunning views.
Glamping description
The farm's spectacular views are evident on a clear day, when it is possible to see Puy de Sancy that is the highest point of Massif Central at 1886 metres.
It is an idyllic place for children with endless outside games such as tree-house building and raft building available. The ewe's milk here is made into yoghurt and a local speciality cheese, known as Tomme. You can try your hand at barbecuing with naturally reared pork from the farm and some of the delicious regional pork specialities, such as salt pork and spit roast.
The Canvas Lodge has a double bed, a bunk bed, and a single bed, sleeping a maximum of 6 guests. There is a flushing toilet, deck chairs, an outdoor cooker, an extended canopy for a covered veranda, and cold running water. The lodge comes with a starter pack made up of wood for heating and cooking, starter pack candles, and lamp oil. Kitchen linen is provided and there is ample parking space. Any stay includes a tour of this working farm.
