Glamping summary
The Canvas Frills Lodge tent at Arche Hof farm is one of the tents found at this typical Bavarian farm found in one of the most popular tourist destinations of Germany. The Fichtelgebirge area near the Czech border is a massive draw, and is where this organic farm is conveniently located. It is about 35 minutes from Bayreuth.
The Hof was originally built in the 18th century and was recently restored. For 30 years, the farm has been farmed organically and guests can experience agriculture and forestry operated with the help of horses. The Arche Hof farm is surrounded by typical Fichtelgebirgshalle forests. In addition to the farm's horses, there is also a Shetland pony, backwoods cattle, Shropshire sheep, chickens, rabbits, cats, and dogs all within the Egertal nature reserve. Please note that guest's dogs must be registered with the booking, and only sociable, good-natured dogs are welcome.
There is a trout pond on the farm and near the meadow with the tents, you will find a swimming pool for children with a depth of 90 centimetres, ideal for the warmer days. Just 200 metres from the farm you can enjoy canoeing on the Eger.
