Glamping description

Bienvenue chez Moulin des Jarasses, where strangers become friends, children do their thing, and the days pass by unnoticed. Many have already become acquainted with the pleasant, relaxed atmosphere at camping Moulin des Jarasses. The luxury accommodations, the family showers, the forest, the stream where you can wade barefoot, and long summer evenings at the table d'hôte: they are good for countless warm summer memories.

As parents of three young children, we, Judith and Andries, know better than anyone what is needed to give fathers and mothers a relaxing holiday. So you will find various fun play areas, a large trampoline, an animal meadow, and go-karts, scooters, and bicycles on the campsite. And of course the two wonderfully heated (fenced) swimming pools with sun terrace.

Our guests also come up with the best events every year. Football tournaments, soap slide competitions, water cannon shooting, ghost tour, variety evening, musical, fashion show, and old Dutch games: they have all been there before.

It would be great if we could welcome you. Together with our team we will do everything to give you an unforgettable time!

EcoLodge; Made of sustainable materials! A luxurious, fully furnished wooden house. The kitchen is equipped with all conveniences and a large refrigerator, service, glasses and pans.

Living space

A large dining table with bench and 2 comfortable chairs, and as a standard extra 2 high chairs for children and a baby chair.

Bedrooms

The bedrooms are divided into a master bedroom with a double bed (160x200 cm), a children's room with three single beds (80x200 cm), and a third bedroom (closed) can be created; here is a children's bed. All beds have high-quality mattresses, pillows and duvets (including protective covers). More than enough storage space.

Sanitary

A separate toilet and a shower with washbasin.

Outdoor space

The Eco Lodge has a large veranda, so you can also enjoy the outdoors. Of course equipped with furniture. Equipped with fencing around the veranda and at the entrance there is a child gate. Equipped with a pallet stove.

About the area

Camping Moulin des Jarasses is located in Central France, about eight hours drive (850 kilometers) from Utrecht. The village 'Le Compas', where the campsite is located, is located in the coulisse landscape of the Limousin region (known for the Limousin cattle) in the department Creuse. A beautiful and unspoiled part of France with many forests, lakes and picturesque villages.

Here, in the least populated region of France, you can walk and cycle for hours without meeting anyone. And what about paragliding, canoeing or fishing? Of course, you can also just do nothing and enjoy the greenery and friendliness of 'the green heart of France'.

    Beautiful, friendly campsite in a quiet area. 5 minutes from a village with amenities and 30 minutes from a very charming town (Aubusson). There is a lot to do for kids on the campsite (including a nice stream, lots of trampolines, goats and chickens, cats, table football, toys, heated swimming pool and paddling pool, climbing frames/slides).

    The eco lodges are particularly beautiful - highly recommended! The other houses were not seen from the inside, but through the windows they also looked beautiful and all very atmospheric, completely in wood. Judith and Andres are wonderfully hospitable and always know something nice to recommend. The campsite has been running under their care for a long time, and you notice that professionalism in everything. Everything has been thought of! Absolutely recommended - you will not regret this!

    They have put a lot of thought into making it a family campsite! From activities to dinner! We had a fantastic week here in one of the rental tents! Equipped with all the comforts and neatly maintained by Andries! Many activities are organised and there are many bicycles and go-karts available for the children.

    You can join the host's table to eat deliciously without worries! Everyone is taken into account. You can also get a delicious breakfast there, so you don't have to leave the grounds in the morning.

    What a great holiday we had with our kids of 7 and 10 years old. Beautiful green terrain with sheltered spots and many trees. Lots of privacy, well maintained and clean. Different accommodations, such as luxury tents, ecolodges, gîte, wooden houses and free camping spots, this makes it so diverse. Nicely divided over different fields. Nice swimming pool, table tennis table, jeu de boules, lots of playing space at the river, and whoever likes it, organizes an activity.

    Really great that you can join the table d'hôte for 4 evenings, Judith is a fantastic cook and prepares really original, healthy and especially mega tasty 3-course meals for a very reasonable price. We enjoyed it and will definitely come back again!
