The Country Retreat Canvas Lodge at Boswarthen Farm is one of the tents that are located on this working farm in Cornwall. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the area has its own microclimate and is a Country Retreat holiday with beautiful beaches nearby that is perfect for surfing and swimming.
The farm is a 550-acre farm with 125 cows and amazing sea views. The microclimate is one of the warmest in the UK with palm trees growing and calm beaches always available. Cornwall's famous seafood, cream teas, and pasties are found in the many tearooms, cafes, shops nearby. Pets can be accommodated but up to a limited number. Guests can witness calves being born and see the milking that happens twice a day. The farm larder is well stocked and dinners can be provided as well as homemade fayre. Guests can even purchase beef home grown on the farm. Any stay includes a tour of this working farm.
Glamping description
The Country Retreat Canvas Lodge has a double bed, a bunk bed, and a single bed, sleeping a maximum of six guests. There is a flushing toilet, deck chairs, an outdoor cooker, an extended canopy for the covered veranda, and cold running water. The lodge comes with a starter pack made up of wood for heating and cooking, starter pack candles, and lamp oil. Kitchen linen is provided and there is ample parking space.
St. Ives is nearby and so is the Eden Project and Minack Theatre. The National Trust's Trengwainton Gardens, Glendurgan, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are all close to the farm. Then there are the charming working fishing villages, the nearby tin mines at Levant and Geevor, and a host of ancient heritage sites.
