Hof Keppel Glamping

The Log Cabin Frills at Hof Keppel is one of the log cabins that are located the middle of Hochsauerland, at an altitude of about 440 metres, in a beautiful secluded location surrounded by meadows and woods.

The farmhouse was built in 1890 in the Tudor style and it has a special feature of the bronze bell on the gable of the farmhouse, which has been rung for more than 100 years, twice a day by hand. The farm is home to many cows, a pony, and there is a playground and petting zoo.

The location of the Log Cabins offers a fantastic view and a stay at the Log Cabins in winter provides guests with a great skiing holiday as nearby, guests can easily find places to ski. There is space in the farm to accommodate skis and there is a boots dryer.

The Log Cabin Frills has a double bed, two mezzanine beds, and two single beds, sleeping a maximum of six guests. There is a private gas-powered shower, a flushing toilet, deck chairs, an outdoor cooker, an extended canopy for the covered veranda, and cold running water. The lodge comes with a starter pack made up of wood for heating and cooking, starter pack candles, and lamp oil. Kitchen linen is provided and there is ample parking space. Any stay includes a tour of this working farm.

The nearest town is Schmallenberg, which is 5 miles away. Other nearby towns include Winterberg, which is 12 miles away and Willingen, which is 25 miles away. In addition to the idyllic hiking trails, 1 mile from the farm, within the area of Schmallenberg, there is a climbing hall, the Thikos Kinderland, and an outdoor pool Europe's largest open-air theatre is about 10 miles away at Elspe and it hosts the yearly Karl-Mai Festival. Winter sports are especially big in the Hochsauerland region with over 25 ski lifts very close to the farm, cross-country trails, a skating rink, and toboggan runs available.
