Were you thinking on going on a glamping holiday in the midst of the beautiful Central Portuguese landscape? You'll go to sleep and wake up in this small and cozy safari tent, which has just what you need. You can enjoying the use a barbecue while staying at the open air!
There is a swimming pool on this glamping for you to cool off after a long day. And you can be sure to have days filled with activity: hiking, mountain biking and festivities are all there for you to do. And that's not all: the major cities of Coimbra and Leiria are within an hours reach from the quinta. You should definitely go there, as you can see a lot of magnificent monuments, such as cathedrals, monasteries and more.
As you can see, plenty of things to do on this quinta and in the near region. And if you want to know something more: you can always ask the owners!
THINGS TO DO
There are enough things to do on the quinta. The beautiful nature has a lot of possibilities for hiking and mountain biking. Bring your own mountain bike or rent one at the glamping.
Do you want to explore the Zêzere river near the quinta?
Close to the quinta, you can also find a variety of festivities. From Easter until early October, there's a village festival in at least one place nearby. Visit a party and enjoy music, dancing and eating along with the Portuguese people! And for those who happen to visit this glamping mid-November: from the second until the third weekend of November, the Festo do Cavalos is taking place in Golegã. It's a famous festival that attracts a lot of horse lovers and traders from all of Europe.
This glamping is located very close to Tomar. This old city was the Templars headquarters in the 12th century, and their castle and convent are still open for a visit nowadays.This magnificent monastery is UNESCO World Heritage and amazing to visit. And there's more: there is fully intact Roman aqueduct which is 5 kilometers long!
If you are willing to go a little bit further, you can find the city of Coimbra, which is within less than an hours reach. This city has a lot of historical heritage that you can visit, such as monasteries, cathedrals and museums. Enough to do to spend a nice day in this beautiful city!
The city of Leiria is also within less than an hours reach from the quinta. This city isn't as big as Coimbra, but there's definitely enough things to do. The Batalha monastery for example, which is one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal, is one of the most famous that you definitely don't want to miss. The castle of Leiria is also worth a visit. Another city where you can experience Portugese history.

How to get there
If you come by car, take the highway to Tomar, and then take the Tomar exit. From there, it's only a 10-minute drive to the quinta.
If you come by plane, take the train to Entrocamento or Tomar. After that, take a taxi to Aboboreira Fundeira.
About the area
This glamping is located in the middle of the beautiful Portugese landscape. With a lot of trees in the hills and meadows, this is exactly what you might expect when you think of a landscape in a Mediterranean country.
Very close to the quinta, you'll find the city of Tomar. With the Convent of Christ, where you'll find a very important landmark . Also, the aqueduct of Pegões is a magnificent aqueduct that is about 5 km long, which is definitely worth a visit.
A bit further away, but within in hours drive, you'll find the cities of Coimbra and Leiria. Be sure to go there at least once, as there are many monuments to visit, including some of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. Both are definitely recommended!
