Glamping summary

The Canvas Frills Lodge at Sunninglye Farm is one of the tents that are located on this working farm found on the Kent and Sussex border in the High Weald. It is an Area of Outstanding Beauty found just 27 miles from the M25 and 40 minutes from the coast. The farm feels secluded and is a very peaceful spot as it is surrounded by woodland on all but one side.

The tents at the farm are on a shady hilltop copse and they face outwards with views across the surrounding fields and woodland, ideal for glamping Kent family holidays. Younger children enjoy the freedom to climb and swing and play safely amongst the trees near your tent. Older children might like to explore the farm while attempting to conquer the Sunninglye challenge, which will occupy them for a good couple of hours. Sunninglye farm fields are all grass and you are usually free to wander all over the farm. Each tent has its own individual campfire site where you can cook or sit in the evening. In the fields near your tent, you can play rounders, cricket, or football.

Near to the pretty copse where the tents are located is Rocky Field home to the nature watch hideout, where badgers, foxes, and deer can be spotted. Further on is the private pond for net fishing, raft building (on request) and messing about with our old boats. Other activities include the Wildlife Challenge and the seasonal wildflower meadow.

Glamping description

The Canvas Frills Lodge has a double bed, a bunk bed, and a single bed, sleeping a maximum of six guests. There is an en-suite bathroom with shower and basin, a flushing toilet, deck chairs, an outdoor cooker, an extended canopy for the covered veranda, and cold running water. The lodge comes with a starter pack made up of wood for heating and cooking, starter pack candles, and lamp oil. Kitchen linen is provided and there is ample parking space. Any stay includes a tour of this working farm.

Right on the doorstep and renowned for its shopping is the historic spa town of Tunbridge Wells. Although there is plenty to do at the farm itself, there is a wealth of relaxing, beautiful places on this farm holiday to visit nearby.

    Enjoying the slower pace

We've had a wonderful weekend, making camp fires, caring pumpkins, baking pizza in the bread oven, walks on your beautiful farm, and generally enjoying a slower pace for a couple of days. Thank you so much
