La Ferme des Bleuets Glamping

The Canvas Lodge tent at La Ferme des Bleuets is less than three hours from Paris, and only 40 minutes from Tours and Le Mans. It is nestled in the heart of Sartre, far, far away from the bustle of the city and offers relaxing glamping experiences with lots of farm activities.

Fruit including blueberries are grown and the farm offers guests the chance to help with the production of ice cream, jams, and other products using the farms own berries. In total, there is about a hectare of blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and currants. On-site, horse lovers will relish la Ferme des Bleuets, which has twenty horses and ponies. Kids will love the dwarf donkeys and a pet sheep, and the surrounding woodland is a perfect playground for all guests.

The river at the bottom of the farm is very close by and there are about a dozen hiking trails in the woods starting directly from the farm. There are also bike paths and horse trails.

The Canvas Lodge has a double bed, a bunk bed, and a single bed, sleeping a maximum of 6 guests. There is a flushing toilet, deck chairs, an outdoor cooker, an extended canopy for a covered veranda, and cold running water. The lodge comes with a starter pack made up of wood for heating and cooking, starter pack candles, and lamp oil. Kitchen linen is provided and there is ample parking space. Any stay includes a tour of this working farm.

The area is rich in fascinating spots to be visited. La Flèche Zoo, one of the most famous in France, the Moulin de Rotrou in the village of Vaas, and some amazing caves are all within ten miles. And if you look a little further, an hour's drive will bring you to some of the magnificent Loire Castles.
