Glamping owner
Sietske
We are Sietske and Jelle and our three little boys; Boke, Tibbe and Seppe.
In march 2017 we went on our journey through the south of Europe in search of a place we could call home. Our big red bus took us to many beautiful countries. From the moment we crossed the border from Spain into Portugal we felt it: This was the place! We drove from south to north and saw many great spots. But it was at our glamping were we found our true 'home'. The peace and quiet, the many indigenous trees, the little stream running through the valley, the calling of the owl in the night, the clear nights which reveal every single star, the fresh air and the beautiful Cabril lake very nearby all made it the perfect place for us.
The idea of a glamping started in Holland when we were still running our restaurant. This restaurant was the perfect place for us to learn everything about running a business. But it was also an eye-opener to what we knew we didn't want anymore; the mass consumption, the extreme hours of working, the 'never being home', never seeing our kids, the stress... So we decided to sell and move on to find a new place and set up a small glamping where we could also do what we love; to cook, give shiatsu massages , give people a good time and do cool stuff with kids, but this time on a much smaller scale and as environmentally friendly as possible.
We hope to see you on our glamping so we can share all this with you!
