Run by a local family, this glamping accommodation is based within a small farm on the Blackdown Hills in , UK. Hosts Andrew and Emma are very sweet, welcoming and always look for new ways to make the guest's glamping experience a tremendous one.
The farm has Dexter cows, Jacob and Zwartble sheep, a few chickens and an adorable goose named George.
The Blackdown Hills form a beautiful and relatively isolated landscape in . The towns nearest to the glamping area are Chard and Ilminster with Tauton and Exeter being around 30 minutes away. The country lanes here are perfect for walking and biking with the nearby Neroche woods that offer access to a long walking and cycle path.
Within the local towns lie amazing places to eat like the Scrumper deli and canteen, the river cottage and the award winning Lord Poulett Arms pub, and if uou would like to shop from organic farm markets one could stop by the Darts farm or the Millers farm.
Glamping description
Perched on the hills of Blackdown in the place is a haven for those who appreciate the beauty of natural sites. From the mountains to grassy landscapes, the place is full of fresh air to breathe in while enjoying a stroll. The skies are quite clear and at night, with no light pollution, glampers have the great opportunity to stargaze.
The shepherds hut is beautifully placed within one of the farms' greenest meadows with interior designs inspired by original vintage British collections made by local artists. If by any chance you fall in love with it, you can buy items of this collection in the farm shop.
The tent itself is eighteen feet long and comes with a lush pull down bed that is fully made up with luxurious British bed linen, a sofa bench seat and arrangements for storage of belongings.
Guests could either choose to be provided with meals upon request or use the kitchen equipped with a gas hob, a fridge, a small breakfast sink and stocked up with cooking amenities and utensils. The place also has a hand built oak table and bench seats that could accommodate six people.
Outside the tent lies an open fire BBQ pit, a washing-up area with hot and cold water taps and the bathroom and toilet are in the end of the cabin behind the double doors.
