Welcome to your stay

Ideal Safaritent with a livingroom and two bedrooms for 5 guests. Right next to this safaritent there is a wooden house with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table, seating area and a stunning bathroom which overlooks a private zengarden. In front a large decking with lounge area and dining area overlooking the japanese style garden. The heated swimming pool is just 30m away. And down the hill there is a play tent a pingpong table, tablefootball and a lot of toys, a basquetball field, Badminton or volleyball field. The surroundings make the glamping experience complete. Enjoy nature in this beautifull ecological valley with pear trees, apple trees and grapevines. Nearby Lisbon and Obidos, nearby a naturepark for hiking and nearby beaches with a bay and a lagoon and not to forget supertube surfing in Peniche. It is the perfect location for relaxation, recreation and culture. So whether you are planning your family holidays in Portugal, team building days away, retreats or working remotely, the Quinta is the place to be. You can do everything this versatile region in Portugal has to offer or do nothing at all, it's your holiday ;-)

Explore your stay

Safaritent Casa Cha, which means tea house, is one of the 7 accommodations at. All with maximum privacy divided over two terrains. The main terrain in the valley has 4 accommodations, 2 apartments, and two glamping tents, In the center the heated swimmingpool and a central multifunctional room, where you can find the honesty bar and turist information. And there is a games room and outside playground. The upper terrain 300m from the main terrain has a holiday home and another glamping tent. The owners live also on the main terrain.

Casa Cha has one bedroom with a double bed (160x200cm) and the other bedroom with a bunkbed for 3 persons.

is situated between the capital Lisbon and university city Coimbra and is just 20 minutes from beautifull sandy beaches.

The owners are very helpful: ask them anything you'd like to know to make your holiday complete!

THINGS TO DO

There are a lot of things to see and to do near the quinta. Caldas da Rainha is very close by and must see Obidos the castle city too. Museums and parks for example, but also Praia Foz do Arelho, a beach close to the city. Peniche for the supertubes surf lovers and Nazare for the big waves.

And there are more cities, all with well known monuments that you should definitely visit. Alcobaça, that has a big monastery, Obidos with a big and well known castle and Batalha with a big cathedral. It can be very relaxing to just stroll around and enjoy the authentic character of an old Portuguese city.

If you don't mind driving a bit further, you can also add Coimbra and Lisbon to your list. Both cities have a lot of things to do: churches, museums and various other types of monuments, including some of the Seven Wonders of Portugal and a lot of UNESCO World heritage sites!

How to get there

Take the highway to Caldas da Rainha. From here, you exit the highway, and it's only a 10-minute drive from there.

About the area

This glamping is located in the Costa de Prata region. This region is known for having a lot of beaches, and the quinta is also close to the coast, so be sure to visit those. But you won't notice that when you're having a good time on the quinta, as it is located in the peace and quiet of rural Portugal, where there is no fuzz and noise.

Multiple cities are close to the quinta. The city of Caldas da Rainha is the nearest, but also Leiria, Lisbon and Coimbra are reachable by car.

    Oasis of tranquility in a beautiful location, very hospitable managers

    After 3 days in Lisbon it was wonderful to catch a breath with Michelle, Bert and the children for 1 week.
    The welcome and enthusiasm with which they tell about the quinta and the environment is heartwarming.
    The quinta is an oasis of tranquility (sense of 'middle of nowhere') and yet close to all kinds of facilities (supermarket etc.).
    We stayed in Casa de Cha. In 1 word: SUPER! Clean, spacious and fully equipped. And a great view over the Japanese garden and the valley.
    There is much to do in the area (1 week is too short): beaches, towns, nature park and restaurants.
    The market in Caldas da Rheina is really nice: only locals who come there, it is an organized chaos. Chickens, geese and other poultry are sold.
    On the way back to the airport on the advice of Michelle visited the Buddha Eden. Impressive!
    We had a great holiday and will definitely come back.

    This glamping was ALL what we expected. Lovely helpful hosts. De safari tent was my heaven which felt like home, with all nice facilities. And not to forget the peaceful Japanese garden in front. It was hard to leave this wonderful place and surely I will be back. Michelle and Thomas are people to my heart. Thank you 🙏🏼

    Fantastic welcoming quinta with heated swimming pool

    Beautifully situated Quinta in central Portugal. About 20 minutes from the beautiful coast. Bert and Michelle offer guests a wonderful stay. They are always ready for you with tips for trips and if necessary arrange a reservation. Certainly in restaurants that is handy because the Portuguese often go out for dinner themselves. The area is beautiful where a rental car is an absolute must. Recommended are the Berlengas Islands (take the fast boat, what an experience!), Fatima, Lisbon, Obidos and the coastal towns of Nazare and San Martino do Porto. On the quinta you can relax with the heated swimming pool, beautiful garden and tranquility. The children played wonderfully with other children and Mika and Rikkie. The pizza evening is recommended as well as a village party should that take place. Overall had a wonderful stay!
