Glamping summary
The Canvas Frills Lodge with hot tub is one of the tents found on the 18th century Landgoed Tongeren estate in the heart of nature park Veluwe in the Netherlands. As it is close to this stunning national park, guests have many opportunities for walking, bike rides, and exploring the beautiful countryside.
Any stay at Landgoed Tongeren includes a tour of the working dairy farm and the owners are happy to share their knowledge and farming philosophy with guests. The farm owners are aiming to be as organic as possible. This means that the cows, pigs, sheep, and horses all have guaranteed access to the pastures, and artificial manure and pesticides are not used. The 75 cows are milked through a voluntary milking system that allows the cows to decide when and how often they are milked. Guests can get involved and help with the farm activities such as feeding the cows and rounding up the sheep.
