Glamping summary
The Canvas Frills Lodge with hot tub, at Landgoed Volenbeek, is one of the tents that are located on this working farm, located in the Veluwe forest in the Netherlands. This forest is part of the Hoge Veluwe National Park and the tents have some very stunning views as a result. The national park is made up of woodlands, moorlands, and sand dunes, making this farm a fantastic place for a glamping holiday.
The thatched farmhouse is over 150 years old and the whole farm, the Volenbeek Historic estate, is a protected monument although it still operates as a dairy farm. Like many Dutch farms, the farm estate is named after the small stream or beek that flows in the nearby area. Any stay at Landgoed Volenbeek includes a tour of this working dairy that is home to a herd of 50 dairy cows. There are also many smaller animals that visitors can get to know. Children can help look after the calves and they can help to collect the fresh eggs from the chickens.
