Glamping summary

A working farm since as early as the 16th century, Drovers has only recently begun its venture into the glamping industry, converting parts of its farmland into a haven for glampers, converting its outhouses into cozy modern day cottages and installing many well designed tents. The farmland was previously open to shepherds who would use the area as they herded their way to London markets.

The accommodations are set in grassy meadows overlooking pastures that are dotted with sheep. Offsite one can step onto the road and head down to Hay on Wye, an attractive riverside town where the winding streets are lined up with beautiful old stone buildings. Within the town lie many shops and also some amazing eateries.

One can also explore the endless trails and cycle routes or wind down and have some river side fun. But you can also just relax on the care-free rural campsite.

Glamping description

A glamping here opens a path to exploring what it is to be disconnected from the constant and never ending cycle of city life. On the farmlands one can indulge in onsite farm activities like feeding the animals, collecting the chicken eggs from coops, milking the goats and even trying your hand at making cheese.

The tents are creamy textured modern style canvas safari tents that are pitched on decks that keep them flat, putting them in an ideal position for the guests to enjoy the views the landscape has to offer.

Each tent comes with two bedrooms with beds that have linen and duvets included, an open plan lounge, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area that have a wood burner, gas stove and a fridge and the outdoor deck is furnished as well. Each tent also has their own private bathroom with underfloor heating, a shower and a WC. All tents also have access to electricity and running water.

Glampers also have access to the communal barn called the Hayloft that is very well set up with bean bags, sofas and other seating arrangements and which is a great place to lounge around and enjoy the free wifi, Sky tv, a gaming console, books and board games. It also has a farm shop with a small cafe/bar for pastries and drinks.

Staying here is surely a great experience to have with your family as it also has many activities for children as well as for adults.
