This family friendly place is very charming and the couple that run it really understand the balance between the basic feel of and the comforts of home. Welsummer is set in a lovely area and there is plenty to do like walking on the Greensand Ridge, hiking, relaxing on your airbed or cooking on the campfire.
Glamping description
Welsummer is a campsite with three fields, and some pitches in the forest. Tucked into a corner just at the entrance to the woods in the campsite's first field, with easy access to the facilities, you can find Wendy's House. This tiny but very charming sleeping hut is ideal for couples who are looking for a romantic retreat.
Sleep late while enjoying the warmth and comfortness of the double bed or cook your own diner on the campfire. Everything you need to stay warm, dry and cosy is here. Why go outside? If you do manage to escape the comfortness of Wendy's House, you can sit outside at the outdoor table and take in the view or go for a hike or picnic in the woods. The campsite provides a coolbox and lamp, so you will have everything you need.
Would you like to bring your child with you? Even that is possible! Wendy's House has a trundle bed (170cm) which pulls out for child up to 13 or about 5'3.
