Glamping description

The year round GeoDomes offer warm, comfortable, and fun glamping adventures. The two Domes are fully insulated and additionally heated by a log burner. The domes can sleep four adults and two children comfortably and inside the domes, there is a log burner and a kitchenette area with two gas hobs with all the kitchen equipment necessary.

Sleeping arrangements can be formed in various set ups but they consist of a double bed, 2 single beds which can form either a double bed or remain as individual singles, and there are extra pull up beds available including a cot if needed. All bedding is provided, but guests will need to bring their own towels. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, (and soft drinks for children) is provided alongside a free starter basket of wood for the fire, after which wood can be brought on site.

There is a private individual shower room found a short stroll from the Domes themselves. These consist of a luxury shower, toilet, and wash hand basin, in spacious, clean, and warm settings. With our domes raised up on decked platforms, they will ensure that the big wide front window will face out over a panorama of the mountains that surround our site. The site is complete with drinking water and an area for washing up. The water is sourced and filtered from an on site burn.

The site is also dog friendly and welcoming to any four-legged friends. There is woodland to the back of the campsite, which leads to the Great Glen Way forestry track for secure and enjoyable dog walking and gorgeous panoramas, as well as the many walks with-in the nearby vicinity.

Not far from the local village of Invermoriston, situated 3 miles north from the campsite and with Fort Augustus only a further four miles south of us-where you can find in either direction local shops, post office, pubs, and fish & chip take away's.

Nearby is also the historic Urquhart Castle, off the A82. Also nearby is the Caledonia Canal and Locks based in Fort Augustus, perfect for a bit of boat watching. There are also many operators running various cruises on Loch Ness for a bit of Nessie hunting. Further on from us is Fort William (36 miles, 51 mins away by road) where you can find the spectacular mountain range of Ben Nevis, Loch Linnhe, and the Commando Memorial near the village of Spean Bridge. Within a 50 mile radius is Kyle of Lochalsh (1 hour by road) and the stunning scenery of Glen Affric (39 mins by road.)
