This yurt is situated at the head of the simply stunning Great Langdale Valley, Cumbria and guarded by the dominating Langdale Pikes. For walkers and climbers it's dream come true.

Cumbria contains beautiful rural area like the Lake District and Lake District National Park, considered one of England's most outstanding areas of natural beauty. A large area of the south east of the county is within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Much of Cumbria is mountainous, and it contains every peak in England over 3,000 feet above sea level, with Scafell Pike at 3,209 feet being the highest point of England.

After a long day full of adventures and before returning to this comfortable yurt, guests can choose to have a nice dinner in one of three pubs in the area, serving great local food and a big selection of famous local ales.

Great Langdale Yurt has everything guests might need after a long day full of adventures. Situated right in the heart of the Lake District National Park, the site offers the perfect base for an array of activities such as canoeing, rock climbing, abseiling, mountain biking, hiking and excursions. The area is the most visited national park in the United Kingdom with 15.8 million annual visitors and more than 23 million annual day visits, the largest of the thirteen national parks in England and Wales, and the second largest in the UK.

Great Langdale Yurt is an exciting place to stay for up to six people. It has comfortable futon style beds (one double bed and one single bed) which can be turned into a lovely seating area during the day. The Yurt has a fully equipped kichen with a wood burning stove and an integrated oven.

Something special is that the Yurt is completely decorated in Maroccan style which will make you feel like you are really away from it all. At night you will be able to do some stargazing from inside, as the Yurt has a large central skylight.

Within a short walk guests can find hot showers, clean toilets, a laundry and drying room and a children's adventure playground.

    Magical space, lovely setting and a wondrous place to wake up in and a cosy home to return to after an excursion up Langdale Pikes with burning stove etc. Thoughtful and useful touches in the yurt much appreciated
