Our first glamping experience!
This was our first time glamping or even camping and we loved it! The site was small but well equipped which gave it a nice family feel. There is a small shop attached to the onsite pub where you can stock up on essentials that you may have forgotten or treat yourselves to ice-creams. We stayed in one of the Lotus Belle Tents and were amazed at how roomy it was. There was a fridge, stove, kettle, sofa and cleaning equipment which could be used at the communal washing up area (with hot water etc.) Toilets/showers were clean with space enough to shower & dress in with the added bonus of having a hairdryer! We had a meal at the pub which was lovely and served by very helpful staff. Plenty of space for games outside the tents, which other campers joined in, adding to a lovely atmosphere. The Belle Tents have decking areas with seating, giving you even more space. There are some lovely walks nearby and plenty of cycling opportunities (our stay coincided with the National Championships.) On our final evening we booked one of the campfires (extra cost but it was worth it just for the kids' faces!) You can also book their outdoor kitchen with gas barbecue, which we may do next time we visit.
