waterfalls, you are entering a slower and simpler pace of life, where much of the daily activity is still very much in keeping with the seasons.
Our region is home to some significant cultural as well as world-class UNESCO and national heritage sites of historical importance, from Mours and Romans to the Knights Templar and more, there is plenty to discover!
There are ample opportunities to wine and dine well with in both traditional Portuguese stye and more modern cuisine with good humored hospitality as well as the chance to catch some traditional Fado performances in nearby Coimbra

We started the Green Man with the simple plan of offering a total escape from the workplace and pressures of everyday life.
Having been very lucky to travel to some beautiful parts of the world, we realized that the places that we stayed could make such a difference to our traveling experience. Trying to recreate a similar ambience to those wonderful places my Portuguese partner and I moved from the UK so that she could follow her profession and I was presented with the opportunity
to do something that I had wanted to do for some time, to develop lodgings of simplicity, style and comfort which offer a total immersion into the nature of our woodland surroundings,
because we know all to well the benefits such a simple action can have on ones mental and physical well being!
