Troytown is the only dairy in Scilly, United Kingdom. It is situated on the tiny island of St Agnes which is one of the smallest inhabited islands of the Scilly archipelago. It's a beautiful, rugged place that has seen little change since Celtic times, a forgotten outpost of England's west. The majority of the island's 70 inhabitants work in flower farming during the winter months, as they have done for generations, although tourism is now as important to the economy.
Milking 9 dairy cows, the might also be the smallest in the country. It produces the very special ice cream, clotted cream, butter and yogurt. Troytown also has one of England's most naturally beautiful campsites and offers wonderful and comfortable bell tents who those who like camping, but also enjoy a little bit of luxury.
The and its campsite are situated on a stunning location on the most southwesterly island in the country with views that are spectacular, particularly at sunset. Troytown has a small site with 5 bell tents to rent and less than 40 camping pitches, all right by the sea and the campsite beach.
There are lots of things to do during a stay on the . The most exciting attraction is the maze that has been built around C12th. But there is also the campsite beach which is perfect for snorkelling, diving, fishing and kayaking.
To be in touch with nature while feeling comfortable at the same time, there are a few canvas bell tents for hire. The tents are very spacious for a couple or two singles. It has very comfortable thick thermarest type beds for up to 4 people and a living area. Outside the tent, guests can find a picnic bench, a well equipped cooking area with camping stove, pots & pans, kettle & utensils, china crockery and proper cutlery, a camping lantern and decorative lighting.

1 Review - Beautiful Tent on island

Simply amazing place to stayI can't think of a more beautiful place to camp right on the coastal path for keen walkers and you get lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves on the rocks . A huge thanks to Sam and family us gave a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were clean and well kept and everything was as promised. The Bell tent we stayed in was dry and cosy, the beds comfortable and everything we needed was provided. The farm-shop was a huge bonus. I recommend trying as many of the flavours of ice cream as possible because they were all lovely and all produced in the dairy behind the shop. I'd also recommend the burgers and bacon which are also produced on the farm - Zero Food Miles! They were great quality and perfect for a night in.
