Glamping summary
The Retreat Lodge with hot tub at Wyresdale Park is one of the tents that are located on this country estate in Lancashire. Looking remarkably like the original setting for Swallows and Amazons, guests will love the boating on offer at the lake, paddling, swimming, and fishing and the peaceful glamping in the sheltered woods of the Park grounds.
The tents are set looking out to Wyresdale Lake, which has boating jetties ready for boat trips. In July and August, guests can book fishing day trips. There is a wood burning stove for cooking within the tent area. The Park has many hidden coves for hammocks and campfires and lots of wild fell to explore.
For kids, there are fold out camp beds, tables, chairs, games, and a rope swing. And just 1.5 km away, Old Holly Farm is an excellent petting zoo, play barn, and working farm. The estate is also positioned as the gateway to the undiscovered beauty of The Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Whilst there is no shop located on the grounds, there are many local shops nearby. Up to two dogs per tent are allowed on the grounds.
